UFC 162 predictions

Anderson Silva (c) vs. Chris Weidman

Weidman has to get this fight to the floor to have a chance. Unfortunately every round starts on the feet and Anderson Silva's odds off winning on the feet are a lot better than Weidman's on the ground. Georges St-Pierre would disagree, but going with Silva via TKO in the second.

Chan Sung Jung vs. Ricardo Lamas

The Korean Zombie might have some ring rust, but I think his well-rounded and fast paced attack will be too much for Lamas. Lamas is very underrated and soft-spoken, so many don't even know who he is, despite being one of the best in the world at 145. Good back and forth fight, but Zombie gets a decision.

Mark Muñoz vs. Tim Boetsch

The superior wrestling of Munoz will get him takedowns, ground and pound, and each judges to check him off as the winner.

Frankie Edgar vs. Charles Oliveira

Oliveira is talented, but Edgar just finds ways to win against everyone in the world, other than Ben Henderson and Jose Aldo. Aside from close decisions with them, he's usually golden  to win. Edgar by decision.

Dennis Siver vs. Cub Swanson

Siver is a great striker but Swanson is on a tear lately. Don't know if he listened to some Tony Robbins CDs and downed 3,000 cans of Redbull, but the man is on a mission and fights like a guy possessed. Swanson via TKO.

  1. A look at the UFC 162: Silva vs Weidman July 6th PPV in Las Vegas, headlined by a middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman. I think this will be a very interesting fight. The event will see middleweight champ Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva defend his title against No. 1 contender Chris Weidman in the main event.
